Q. How do I save links to articles in EBSCO and QUICKSearch?
Persistent links allow you to retrieve articles in EBSCOhost databases.
To copy a persistent link to an article:
- From an open article, click Permalink in the Tools menu on the right.
- Use your browser's copy and paste functionality to copy the link from the Permalink window and paste it into an email, web page, document, etc.
To email a persistent link to an article:
- From an open article, click E-mail in the Tools menu on the right.
- In the E-mail manager make your selections. You may wish to select the appropriate citation style that you are required to use for your assignment. Persistent links are automatically included in the email.
- Click Send. A message is displayed. Click Continue.
- An email will be sent to the email address that is entered. The email will contain the subject and instructions for pasting the link into a web page or you can save the link.
Only authorized users will be allowed access via the persistent link. If you are on campus, then you can just click on the link. If you are off campus and already authenticated with the MyIWU Portal or Brightspace, then you can click on the link. Otherwise you will be directed to the MyIWU Portal to log in.
Persistent links do not expire as long as the content is available in the database. If the content is removed from the database then the link will no longer work.
